Objective: To promote and advocate for equal access to friendly, non-discriminative and inclusive services to LBQ persons

Under this area, FARUG has advanced health rights and access to health care of LBQ women under our Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) project which aims at improving the health and well being of LBQ persons in the different regions of the country.

Research under this project found that there was need to increase access to services like counselling, access to medical care without discrimination, safe sex information that is specific to LBQ persons, provision of safe sex materials, access to counselling and hormones for trans identifying persons, provide information on HIV/AIDS and access to prophylaxis in the event of rape.

We also provide care and support for Lesbian, Bisexual and Queer Diverse Persons/Women Sleeping with Women (LBQ/WSW) women living with HIV/AIDS, free cervical and breast cancer screening, hepatitis B screening and vaccination, voluntary counselling and testing for HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
