Pride in Uganda has long come despite the unlawful laws, police arrests that have been a barrier to the celebrations. For the past two years COVID 19 which has and still the world’s biggest disaster however celebrating pride has been an online engagement. The fact that COVID-19 lock down was a challenge leaving the queer community at a high risk of mental health illnesses and breakdowns due to lack of access to basic health necessities and services.
